Ethical Marketing for Health Care & Wellness Practitioners

Stop Overexplaining What You Do and Start Attracting Clients Who Get It

I help health care and wellness practitioners turn confusing, overcomplicated marketing into clear messaging that instantly connects with the right people.

How to Explain What You Do So the Right Clients Actually Get It

The 4-Layer Method

Learn the simple 4-layer framework that helps health care and wellness practitioners explain their work clearly, specifically, and naturally without sounding overly clinical, vague, or like everyone else online.

You’ll walk away with a clearer “what I do” statement that actually makes potential clients understand, connect, and want to know more.

“The 4-Layer Method gave me real practice explaining what I do — both out loud and on paper — in a way that finally felt clear and specific to me. Now people actually understand my work quickly, I know how to talk about outcomes instead of just credentials, and I feel much more confident in conversations, networking, and on my website.”

You are skilled, experienced, and deeply passionate. Now you just need messaging that reflects it.

But right now…

Trying to explain what you do feels harder than it should.

  • Rewriting the same website paragraph 14 times because every version sounds either too clinical, too vague, or somehow not like you at all.

  • Watching influencers confidently promise miracle results in 15-second videos while you’re overthinking a single sentence because you actually care about nuance, ethics, and not misleading people.

  • When people say, “So… what exactly do you do?” and suddenly your brain goes completely blank.

  • Overexplaining because you’re afraid simplifying your work will make it sound shallow, salesy, or unethical.

But no more…

If you can guide clients through complex, nuanced, deeply human work every day…

You can learn how to talk about your work in a way people actually understand.

You don’t need louder marketing, you need language that helps the right people quickly recognize that you’re the right fit for them.

Former elephant trainer, writer, editor, recovering perfectionist, and someone who’s spent years helping humans understand complicated things without mentally checking out.

These days, that mostly looks like helping thoughtful healthcare and wellness practitioners explain what they do in a way that actually sounds like them.

For years, my work has focused on listening closely, finding the real message underneath all the overexplaining, and translating complex ideas into language people can actually connect with.

Because while influencers are out there confidently promising miracle results, thoughtful practitioners are rewriting the same sentence 14 times trying to make sure it’s accurate, ethical, and clear.

And somewhere between “trying to sound professional” and “trying not to oversimplify,” a lot of really good practitioners end up sounding vague, overly clinical, or hard to connect with online.

That’s the part I love helping untangle.

Oh, hey there! I’m Anisa.

“Anisa is wonderful! She’s highly professional, attentive, and asks insightful, thought-provoking questions. Anisa is great at using language your clients will understand and keep them coming back.”

  • You know your work helps people, but explaining it feels weirdly harder than it should.

  • You’ve seen someone’s eyes glaze over while explaining your work and thought, “Okay… that definitely didn’t land.”

  • You’re stuck between: “I want people to understand me” and “I don’t want to oversimplify what I do.”

  • You’re deeply ethical about your work and refuse to use manipulative, fear-based, or overhyped marketing just to get clients.

  • You want messaging that makes the right people instantly think: “Ohhh. THIS is exactly what I’ve been looking for.”

TIRED OF SOUNDING STIFF, VAGUE, OR WEIRDLY CORPORATE ONLINE?

The Professional Voice Intensive

You know your work is thoughtful and deeply personal… but your online presence still sounds like it could be any other practitioner in your niche. This intensive helps you figure out how to sound like you — so showing up online feels more natural and less like performance art.

PEOPLE LOVE WORKING WITH YOU ONCE THEY ACTUALLY TALK TO YOU?

Marketing That Sounds Like You

This is for practitioners who are excellent at their work but struggle to explain it clearly online. Together, we turn all the nuance, overexplaining, and “how do I say this?” spirals into messaging that helps the right clients immediately understand your value and feel ready to reach out.

“Marketing That Sounds Like You helped me get clear on my work in a way that was specific to me, so when people read it, they actually understand what I do and can tell pretty quickly whether it’s the right fit for them or not.”

“It helped me find the language I needed for conversation and for my website, so now when I talk about what I do, I have a lot more confidence.”

  • I have a BS in Animal Science, a master’s in Agriculture Management, and a background in fitness and nutrition coaching,  which means I’m fluent in both science-speak and how real humans actually process information.

  • Five days a week, I translate legalese into plain English for Oregon’s paid family and medical leave program. When someone’s spouse just had a heart attack or their baby arrived early, they don’t have time to decode bureaucratic language. Clarity matters.

  • I’ve spent years helping humans and animals communicate more clearly. Turns out behavior, trust, timing, and clear signals matter in marketing too.

  • I can track two conversations at once in a noisy restaurant, but if I meet you while walking my dogs, I will absolutely remember your dog’s name before yours.

  • I’m a recovering perfectionist who used to play roller derby and hit people hard enough to launch them across the track. These days I’m more interested in messy action than perfect execution.
